I'm trying to do a mod for a LC575/Color classic analog board and found almost all the pin information I need.
The main problem is that I can't find the pins that carry the vertical and horizontal sync data.
The source of my info is: http://homepage2.nifty.com/frogeye/connector.html
Is the pin labeled "composite signal" the combined Vertical and Horizontal sync input or is it something else?
This is the only piece of information I need to finish this project.
Edit: Will putting +5V on pin 7(which is the "power off signal" on the takky pinout page) on the analog board turn on the power supply for the rest of the computer.
Thanks in advance.
I am kind of stuck on the same issue. Any luck yet? I am working on a similar project. It seems that it could be or likely is composite sync.
I am thinking about building this: http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/vga2rgbs.html
But I would rather find the H and V sync right on the analog board...
Not yet unfortunately. I would contact apple to see if I can get it from them but I don't know how.
I could build a converter like the one you linked to, but I really don't want to.
I wonder if you could just wire both sync pins to the composite signal in.
I don't recall this need coming up back in the CC modding heyday. If you can't track down separate H & V signals on the board, there's the option split the composite sync by making a separate sync stripper like on this page:
