My advice ...

My advice ...  Use them!!  They look appropriate for the Apple 1.  Clean the leads and re-tin them before inserting into the board for best results.

I guess I did a better job

I guess I did a better job than I thought, These are fake. There real new expoxy dipped .1uf caps that I dolled them up to look like the real ones. some tera-cotta paint and a little baking power for texture. I had a rubber stamp made up to print the value and BEL (BTW its times new roman)

Good job !

It has been by experience that modern 100nF ceramic disc capacitors have a brown color which is too light. I found out that dunking them in heated candle wax gave them a more appropriate, darker and duller brown color. But  your approach is more sophisticated ... even the "BEL" is there ;-)
