So I basically want to share a story.. i purchased a //c on ebay december 20th (9 days ago) and till this day is has not been shipped and they have my money since december 20th, paypal has opened a claim and the seller hasn't even been responding to them for the past two days. Have you guys ever had this bad luck with a2 stuff on ebay? I'll either get it very late or get a refund.

cnnx,
Who was the Seller?
Steven
This was the link http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-Apple-II-C-IIc-w-Disk-Drive-Adapter-Bag-and-Lot-of-Accessories-/262180341351?hash=item3d0b2a8667:g:ek8AAOSwHQ9WZeal
It was my first a2 purchase, maybe I should of asked here first, I was naive??
Other than the nuisance of not getting the item, I would not worry much. eBay guarantees nowadays the payment so you will get your money back. Also think that in holiday season people go out on vacation, and packages can get lost. Maybe the seller went out and forgot to ship your item. Maybe he doesn't have internet access, who knows?
Based on his positive feedback I would think he will have responded by now.
It has happened to me in the past, and at the end you get your money back, but sucks you have to find another one again.
Cheers

Hello cnnx,
my advice would be to read the text in ebay offers more carefully and even more important to read the stuff
completely.... and second advice would be to develop some more patience .....
if you did read the offer entire did you read this ?
delivery time: 9 to 17 business days .... ( and please remember holidays are NOT business days )
so why open complaint before this period has past ?
second :
view the feedbacks of a seller....
in this case you could recognize, that this dealer has solved more than 1000 sales
and within the last year there has not been one single negative feedback....
that´s what ebayers call: a quit reliable and trustable dealer....
In general such dealers mark in your sales page, when the item is shipped and in quite a lot of cases
even also drop the shipment number that enables you to trace the package......
so my third advice would be to inspect the items purchased page at ebay that lists up your puchases
and inspect if the shipment has been marked to be shipped and if
a shipment number has been added to that purchase to check if there is a trace to that package...
i´d recommend to continue here with bothers, if the period of 17 days past ( related to terms of delivery )
and you still have no note about shipment....
and read the terms complete and view feedbacks - before bidding - if you are not sure....

That delivery time is based on where YOU are (international) in relation to the seller, not the actual buyer (cnnx). Someone in the USA looking at the auction will see delivery estimated as "2-7 Business Days".
Your point is taken, that it is the holiday season and cnnx should be a little more patient for the IIc to arrive.
And it's coming from Canada.
You can add a little time there.
Steven
No, its coming from California from what the seller told me in an ebay email.
I've bought a couple small things from that same seller, no problems (for what that's worth,)
As speedy said though, a fairly decent number of reviews and 100% positive combined with the fact that ebay would most certainly get you your
money back if all else failed I would suggest a little more patience, even though I'd be getting pissed by now myself!!!
(do as I say, not as I do!!

just wanted to update everyone on this thread that I did receive a full refund back from paypal today for item not shipped, turns out I'm not the only one he's done this to.
That really sucks. Good you got your money back, sucks you had to jump through all these hoops to get it instead of the item you bought!!
I've found there are a lot of good sellers out there, and plenty of crappy ones (my experience the good have still outnumbered the bad though)
I'd sell you a IIc myself but I don't have any ready to go and am in the middle of getting several machines ready for people who asked for certain items.
Keep looking! If you are less concerned about cosmetics there are some really good deals to be found especially for the IIc.
Craigslist is obviously the best for prices more often than not but supply can be an issue. eBay always has some, you just have to weed through the trash to get to the gold!

I found and ordered another iic system from ebay which I received, the only thing the monitor came cracked. But the unit has almost no yellowing, I will be restoring the keyboard this week by removing the keys and taking out that membrane so I get the clicky touch back. I'm shopping for a color CRT and found a local Sony trinitron PVM-1341, gonna check it out.
Glad it worked OK. This happened to me a few Christmases ago too.
Warning to all during the Holiday Christmas season:
You are more likely to be scammed during December than any other time of the year. People want cash so badly and they'll do anything to get it.
Be careful.
So I guess these are words to keep in mind for next year now.
