Hello, I'm repairing an Apple Plus Bell and Howell. The previous owner drilled two holes in the case, and added two switches. I removed the switches, and filled them in. I just need to paint the green filler, with a good color match. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a particular black paint that is a good match for the Bell and Howell color.

Carry your lid into Home Depot, congrats on the bell they are beautiful machines.

So I was thinking about this - how would you go about matching the texture that is present on the Apples?
One thought (as crazy as it sounds) would be to make a "mold" of sorts, whereby you use clay or some other media to cast an imprint of the texture from a good spot on the apple, wait for it to harden and then spread I dunno maybe putty (auto putty?) onto the hole you have filled and then tape the mold onto it to try and transfer the texture... Once it dries you can paint it to match.
Any other thoughts? (I'm not having this issue but I am curious as how to best approach it)
