apple iii really keen on getting one

hey im jarrod, iv got a large collection of apple computers but one iv always wanted but unable to obtain is an apple iii / apple 3

i have an apple 1 replica i made myself and a few diffrent apple 2 version ( II plus , IIe ,IIE and IIc ) but to really complete the look really want an apple III.

and as far as iv been able to research theres no  one with an apple iii replica so OG is my only option and better one probably maybe ahahh thankyou.

Sorry really should have read

Sorry really should have read the posting wanted ads, but heres some extra details

I'm in Australia, but more specifically Tasmania so if anyone has one locally that would be best but probably not :)

I'm not after and condition in particular really just not snapped in half or rusted into pieces,  id prefer a working or semi working one but untested and non working id also very much consider as i know these machines arent the most reliable and chips can be hard to come by if in need of replacments.

unless your local to australia trades or swaps probably arent an option and really unsure of an amount to offer as i seen many opions about thier value, so sorta also seeing how much i need to buy one.

thankyou

Good luck with that.  Only

Good luck with that.  Only around 50-60 thousand /// were made, and as far as I know, relatively small percentage of those were made for export.  They aren't common over here, and probably extremely rare in Australia.  Also if you find one in the US, shipping will be astronomical because /// are HEAVY.  Like seriously heavy.  The chassis is a big chunk of cast aluminum and none of the rest of it is flimsily made either.

That said...  /// are not highly sought after, so you should be able to get one in the US for $400-$600.  That's what they seem to sell for if you find them on eBay, etc.  But you may have to spend almost that again having it shipped.

A /// replica would be fairly

A /// replica would be fairly difficult to do compared to a ][/][+ or even a 1...  Not as difficult as a //e or //c because fewer and simpler custom chips (1980 design vs. 1983).  But in general probably not really financial feasible to do anyway.  /// are still relatively cheap compared to a 1 or ][.  Not much interest out there in cloning ][+ or //e or //c either.
