Hello there folks , so long story short i made an account on the site since i figured it was the best place to post this, in a nutshell me and a freind are very much into retro and he got his hands on an apple 2 e platinum ,
he also happens to own a roland mpu 401 , as do i , but I use mine for IBM PC games , nevertheless he wanted to a way to hook it up to his apple 2 , but the interace cards can be a bit hard to find ,
there happens to be replica interface cards for IBM PCs with ISA slots on texelec , but none for the apple 2 or the other computers that supported the mpu 401 (C64 , PC8801 and some others) so i managed to make a version of the card ,
as far as i know the componentry and the wiring should be about right but i dont have a real card to compare to.
Anyways i figured id throw the gerber on here for anyone that was brave enough to give it a go.
I should point out i haven't tested the card and i'm not responsible if anyone fries their apple II or mpu 401 breakout box so you have been warned ,
theres also the matter of the cable which is a 20 pin that goes out to a DB25 connector , I managed to figure out the wiring and ill include that too.
My friend hasn't gotten around to trying to get a card made yet and i don't know when he will since he's busy with other retro projects , but i felt bad about the gerber collecting digital dust on my hard drive so hopefully it can at least help someone.
Also i want to give thanks to Xander Maas

Since i modified his eagle apple 2 edge connector template which saved me a bunch of time

P.S the picture on the left isn't my card , but it was the only one i could find on the internet.
