So I have a couple of Apple IIs (not + or e), and I messed up with all the roms
Can someone point me to where I can find which rom goes into which socket on an Integer AII ?
I thought all I need was:
E0 (part # 341-0001)
E8 (part #341-0002)
F0 (part #341-0003)
Should I really leave F8, D8, Do empty ?

Here is a picture of the ROM's on my Apple ][, ( SN: 25422 )
It boots as a non-Auto Start into the Monitor with Integer Basic available.
You should have ROM's in Banks E0, E8, F0 and F8. If you have the Developers ROM, it will be in the D0 Bank

You need a F8 ROM. It contains the code the 6502 will look at upon boot.
You have the Integer BASIC ROMs. Like MarkO said, you can have the Programmer's Aid (341-0016) in D0 but it's not needed for your Apple to operate correctly.

is the F8 ROM part #341-0004?
If it is, they are hard to come by on their own.
You have to buy an Integer Card or a complete Apple II with one already installed.
They cards are cheaper, but you have to find the right one on eBay or elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I have a F8 with 2 pins broken, me being stupid when taking it out of a rom card
Any idea if I can fix it ? Both pins are at the beginning or each row, and broken from the top.
That makes it hard to Solder them back on... That Experience was Hard Won, but now your Educated...
Just as a Note, for Future Education.... Learn on Non Critical Systems..
For Instance, lets say you want to De-solder IC from a Circuit Board.. If your new to doing this, Use the Proper Tools, ( regulated temp Iron ), use Heat below the Specified Maximums, and stay under the Maximum Times. And Learn on a Board that Doesn't Work, and that has no other value, than Practicing your De-Soldering Skills.
With a Plastic Case ( Package ), you could Drill away above the Pins, so as to Solder the Pins back on. Your best option, after Finding a Replacement ROM, would be to go the EEPROM Route with the Adapter for the Pins..

well in case the resoldering of the pins fail the second best option will be to
search for a member close to your living area with a EPROM Programmer.
The file for the F8 Eprom is availiable at several sites for download.
The replacement is then performed by using a 2716 Eprom that has been programmed by the
specific file loaded from one of the sites... like here:

The EPROM-chips are pin compatible with the ROMs and the pin marked Vpp ( Programming Voltage ) at the Eprom is
bent up and tied by a 1k Ohm resistor to +5Volt.

That is one of the projects I have slated for this year.
Making EPROM Copies of all of the Integer ROMs.
The 341-0004 is really hard to find unless you can
find an Integer ROM Card with one installed.
(or buy an Apple II)
The cards are out there, you have to find
one for a reasonable price.

Steven, let me know if you need one (or all) of the chips for your project. I have multiple sets of Integer ROMs.
I'm already hooking zonga up with the F8 ROM he needs. People charge outrageous prices for the individual ROMs. The boards are worth $100 - $150 or so because that is what they are typically going for, usually with the Programmer's ROM installed (I've sold several in that price range) but most individual chips I've seen list for enough to make the card over $200 if you bought the components separately.
If you'll give them back to me when done I'll only charge shipping. I have 4 complete sets of Integer ROMs and 4 or 5 of each individual ones on top of that (except F8) and at least half a dozen Programmer's Aid #1 (016) ROMs.
zonga gets his F8 for $10 plus shipping, I'd do the same for you or like I said just ship them to you and wait for you to return them. We need to share this stuff to keep things going. Apple IIs have been very good to me this year, I need to spread the love

Absolutely. But you can also use an autostart ROM 341-0020 along with Integer BASIC ROMs...
I have about 20 or so 2716s knocking around here. I'll let them go to whoever pays the postage. I have no idea if they are working or not, but the 3 I did use back 5 years ago out of the same lot worked fine.

I have an Apple II that I am working on, but I am having a problem getting the system to a prompt, when booting to what I think should be integer basic.
With the ROM card installed, I can boot to the Apple II + ROM prompt.
