I know this may be a dream, but I finally realized will never be able to afford a working LCD //c panel, but maybe somebody have or knows about a broken one, non working that I could buy, to restore.
I may be lucky enough. Thanks!

Javster,
I'm sorry.
I can't help with this one.
I've been tempted several times to buy one online, but I haven't.
I think maybe a broken one would be more problem than buying a good (working) used one.
Steven
Thanks Steven, my thinking here is that I can't afford a $300-400 screen, but I can try to replace the LCD from a broken one with a newer or refurb (from old laptop LCDs from that time, maybe?) at an affordable cost. Thinking that the original //c LCD was never really usable, it would be a nice retrofit challenge and maybe could be used by oters.
Let's see what happens.

A new auction:

Thanks Insanitor, but that's not broken and I bet will go beyond $400.
Cheers

Javster,
You are probably right.
That auction is not really for the IIc.
It is for the LCD Screen.
Personally, I decided many moons ago not to try for one.
My main reason is the fact that you really can't see that much.
I prefer a regular or Full Size screen.
Yes, I know that it is a "Collectable" for many of us.
Maybe...some day when I decide that I "Can't live without one"; I'll splurge.
Until then...I have my IIc to VGA adapter.
I am a happy person.
Steven
It's easy for me to say this because I have //c LCD displays... but, screw those high prices! Keep an eye on Nishida's VGA project - it appears he's making it so it will mount on the back of the //c. Hopefully there will be a 3D case made for it.
Sean,
Nishida's VGA project looks cool.
As soon as I'm resettled into a new position at work I plan on obtaining one.
Thanks Steven,
It has never been about the video, but the collectible. Actually a broken LCD would give me the opportunity to add a new screen and make it usable.
I already have a color LCD working on my //c green monitor. Also I'm looking forward for th Nishida RGB project, but still will try to get an Apple LCD someday.
Cheers

You just have to keep looking. Mainly in Buy it now. I just picked one up with (2) IIc (1) power supply (1) caring case all for buy it now fro $97.00. Have of the frosted mat is worn off the screen, which is a nice clear plastic. Which lets the letters show up with out be blurry buy the mat finish. Keep looking and you may find one too.
Wow! You mean you got one? Can you post the eBay link? Just to see... Lucky, enjoy!
Javster
Since you wanted to see the link.

One of the IIc went as a donation to Tulip Radio in Japan for work on his VGA converter.
Take Care
Thanks, I needed the encouragement. I will look for those now!
Cheers

I have a //c display (working), i might be interested in trading it for something that is equally rare
Before that i want to see, if the display can be recreated...
... I have a source for the Panel, but no time to actually start the project.
But right now i have to finish my three Apple II soundcard Projects.
@javster: if you have something like an analog synth or anything sound, graphics or accelerator related for the Apple II mail me
