Hi All,
Okay. I remember seeing this somewhere in the past, but can't seem to find it now. With the 400K floppy disks on the original Mac, 512K, and external drives, when you tear them apart and clean and lube them to get them working, and then test them outside the aluminum shield, the drives don't read or format because of RFI. Then you put the drive inside the shield and wala! it works again.
I know I read this somewhere and didn't figure it out for myself. :-) I think I read it from Mike Willegal maybe.
Does anyone remember seeing this and know where it was? There are dozens of people in Facebook forums having this issue and it would be great to push them to the article.
Thanks in advance.
Jay
