Transistor in slot loading imac

Hi!

I have a slot loading iMac wich won't power up. I took it apart and found that the fuse on the power supply was blown, so i replaced it with a new one but when i put the power cord back in it instantly blew again with a lightflash and a bang. So I investigated further and found a transistor (or whatever it is) that i attached to a big heatsing on the analog board. So i figured that this must be the issue.

The problem is that the whole area on wich the text is printed on the transistor thing is blowns away so i can't see wich number it has. It's located on the right side of the analog board if you view it from the front and and right beside it it sais "IC901".

Does anyone have a clue wich number this one is?

Thx in advance /Zio

Transistors are usually denot

Transistors are usually denoted with a Q. That's probably a regulator controller. Can you find another good board and give us the part number from the part?

Okay I see. Anyway, now I'm thinking of doing that ATX-modding thing and put the logic board in the white box my iBook was delivered in Smile
Any thoughts about that?

Is there any polystyrene in there? If so, I would not put it in there as polystyrene creates alot of static electricity.
