Since everyone seems to have at least one real problem with AF 2 and all of these problems are in threads that are driving AF apart heres a suggestion box. Please no crap like load speeds or "I don't like this" comments that don't have a suggestion following them. I don't want this thread to turn into yet another flame war.

Don't demand one thing and nothing less than that one thing. If this is going to make eveyone happy there's going to be some give and take. Howevery as powerful as Drupal seems theres a good chance that as time goes on these problems can be solved.
Since I didn't want the first post to be loaded down with some suggestions I didn't add these above. I'll admit that I know very little about drupal, but I don't think any of these seem out of reach
1st - External links. It would be nice to have links load in another window. While it isn't too much effort to command click it takes some thought. I've seen Trash comment on this and its one of the major items I miss from the YaBB forums.
2nd - The Recent page. Right now its linking to the recent images list rather than to the recent all list (for me at least). It would be nice to get this fixed since the recent lists are extremely useful. That said it would be nice to increase the number of items listed on each page. On the average day I think its covering two pages. Maybe have it list twice the number it is now?
3rd - Possibilty of a couple skins? I don't see this in the near future but it might beuseful considering we have some members that view on small screen platforms. The addition of a small screen skin at some point in the future might quite some of the major arguments. I think this would be a low importance task but with some digging there may be an existing stylesheet that AF could use.
4th - missing content. Tom if someone comes across missing content (like Mercury) what would you like them to do about it? I think you transfered most of the content but theres probably some more that's missing.
I second the request for links opening in new windows.

Ill also second the mention of a different theme for people on smaller screens, g3 head musta read my rambling and rage about veiwing it on my cell phone.

Ah - You must be using the applefritter beta theme. I've turned that back off. Right now everybody should be using the xtemplate theme. Tom Levens is working on a new non-xtemplate theme that will implement the applefritter look and allow us to implement the new forum features.
There's still a lot of content that needs transferred. If anybody wants to help, mail me.
Once we get the main theme finished, we'll definitely look into doing a 'lite' version.
the BBcode bar and smilies should be shown when sending private messages ...
and im working on the new theme ... when i finish the main one ill do a "lite" version if needed

oh ... and there is something strange going on on the forum index page ...
under the "Hosted" and "Market Place" catagory headers it has the "Jump to: the most recent topic, the first new topic." text and the "(X new)" text ... and this is the strange bit ... they apply to the forum above that catagory ... i.e. the jump links of the Hosted catagory lead to Remember Outdoors and the Marketplace ones lead to the StrangeFlavour board
i assume the discussion cat dosent have this problem because there is no forum above it

1) a more definate quote box ... YaBB's one was good ... couldnt we implement something like that
2) when opening the spellchecker it leads to the AF homepage ...
3) could we have the next/previous page links above the comments aswell as below them ... it would save scrolling ... though maybe thats something ill have to do in the new theme ...
