I fear he's not well. He hasn't logged into Applefritter in 9 months, and I haven't been able to reach him via email.
Regarding the site, I didn't realize it was down. I'll get a mirror up later today, and if the domain expires, I'll try to purchase it and put the site back up. Hopefully, we'll hear from Speedy before then.
Mirror: SpeedyG's AppleII-Box
Now his email bounces. :(
I will mail him a letter.
Not that he has a lot of activity there..
MarkO
Thanks!.
I have only recently gotten into the Apple II retro hobby, and I found his site very helpful. Thanks for setting up the mirror. Has anyone heard any news about SpeedyG? I am concerned :-/
Sadly, I have not.
His "normal" web site is online, but not updated for long time, IMHO.
I'm so glad this mirror was set up. It would be a real shame if all of SpeedyG's work and contributions disappeared.
I hope he is OK...
I agree
Wait, what's his "normal" website?
FWIW, there is content missing from the mirror (broken images). I hope that they aren't forever lost, as they were logic diagrams for peripheral cards.
If it's not there, I don't have it. If anybody does, please contact me.
I saved specific whole pages from SpeedyG's website, and in some cases, made Word documents and PDF files of them. I also did some spellcheck correction along the way.
If you can give me some of the locations you are referring to, I will look in my archives and see if I have them. More than happy to share.
I saved some details too. Mostly scans or schematics.
So please give us ( :-) ) a list of missing documents.
Anything available on wayback or something like that?
I'l have a mirror up of SpeedyG's older site shortly. Maybe some of the missing documents are there.
I noticed, while browsing the old site, that there were a number of missing pages, though.
As far as I remember it's
http://www.harrowalsh.de
which is a German page, but containing some apple stuff, too.
http://www.harrowalsh.de/Elektronik/APPLEBOX/Gameport/appleboxgameport.htm
If anything was still missing, here's another mirror of Harro's AppleII-Box:
https://r3tr0.de/mirror/www.appleii-box.de/
Created in 2018. I guess not much has changed afterwards.
It would be great if this was rolled up into a single downloadable archive.
There's a tremendous amount of work in this collection.
This mirror does have them:
https://r3tr0.de/mirror/www.appleii-box.de/APPLE2/IBSKARTEN/appleboxAppleIIIBSAP2.htm
These were certainly 404s on Tom's mirror.
I have some crawl utilities that could image it, but I am desperately low on HDD/SSD space at present. I agree that it would be nice as one archive.
Ah, hard links, though, to files like this...
http://www.appleii-box.de/APPLE2/IBSKARTEN/IBS%20AP16%2080%20Zeichenkarte
The old site is mirrored now.
I'm making a full miror of the other mirror right now. I'll try to sort out what's different.
Just wanted to say that this mirror is indeed intact and has all of the pictures. It's also the only location of the complete duodisk maintenace page, as the PDF linked on that page mistakenly links to the "Making a Duodisk Cable" page instead. So, big thanks to whoever was able to mirror this with all images intact.
I just wanted to let you know, In the List of Interfacecards from IBS (H002), the link for AP16 does not work.

If you are looking for information on
IBS cards, there is a book published.
Go to www.bomjackjack.org
Click on Apple logo (which is for Apple II)
And then other languages and you will
find the book there.

Hi,
thank you for the links.
Now that I have the schematics I can see, if I can recover my card (unfortunally some traces on the board are completely missing).
The schematics in the booklet of IBS are wrong. AFAIR every schematic. Sometimes you can recognize the place in the schematics where connections were erased.
