Apple II / II Plus Clear Case Project

We've worked really hard to bring a second project to follow up the Macintosh SE and SE/30 clear case project.  Based on survey feedback the Apple II was the one most people wanted to see.  As a result, we worked hard to bring this project to life.  Now the time has finally come, the Kickstarter is now live.

I am happy to announce our project is now live. We estimate that we need around an average of 160 people to back the project. As a result, we ask that if you can help us spread the word it would mean a lot getting the project off the ground.

Many in the community expressed interest in the Apple IIe being the next candidate, so like our last survey, we listened. We are already engineering this case and expect to be in the prototyping stage within 4 weeks. If the Apple II / II Plus project is successfully funded we will start a new Kickstarter for the Apple IIe.

Also, we will be attending the Vintage Computer Festival Midwest so if you will be in the area, please stop by and checkout our projects.

Great project and I want one, but...

Great project and I want one, but you need to accept PayPal.

No one likes to spread their Credit Card info over unfamiliar sources.

Just a suggestion, as you will get far more orders if you do.

I agree with Macnoyd.   If you folks took PayPal,  I am in right now for $200.00.

Thanks for your suggestion.  Unfortunately, I have no control over Kickstarter’s payment method.  That said, the card won’t be charged unless the goal is met so that means at least 2 months from this date.  I did actually ask why Kickstarter didn’t use PayPal and chose Stripe (a well-known payment processing service).  I was told the two couldn’t agree on terms.

Projects like this need to be on a site like Kickstarter.  Well, any crowdfunding site will work, but Indiegogo doesn’t stand behind backers like they should.  Indiegogo also allows for creators to be paid regardless of the goal being met.  I just did not like their model.
