Hi everyone,
Brand new to your excellent site. I have an Astec PSU from a 2e and have found T3 Transformer faulty. I have searched up and down and can't find out what this is to replace it, I really need help.
T3 is just below the WARNING transformer. D1510 is printed on the item.
Thankyou.
Its a common fault. I just wind 35 turns of enameled copper over the top of the old open circuit winding and terminate it on the original pins. Its not the prettiest solution but it works.
Excelent idea!
Excellent solution David, since those transformers are probably nearly impossible to find these days.
So 35 turns will give the corect voltage?
cheers
One question about the 35 winds. David M is in Australia. I don't know if that number of winds is also correct for a US spec power supply. So hopefully David knows the answer to that.
They are the same power supply for 110 or 220v so the number of turns is the same.35 turns should put you within spec on the output, I've done maybe 10 or so and its always worked for me.
Thanks for confirming that David.
