Can anyone tell me if there is a terminal emulator for the Apple II which supports ANSI?

AGATE?

Also try ANSITerm or ColorTerm, both for the Apple IIgs.
Alright, AGATE works, somewhat. thanks. I'm using a IIc so I don't think the IIgs programs would work for me.
Hello.. I read the question about a terminal program here with interest.I would also like to use this with my Apple II PLUS (not e, not c) and I only have 48kB RAM.Does the AGATE even work with only 48kB?I have the Super Serial Card. The link written in 2020 no longer seems to work.Thank you very much.
The "Asimov" archive is the first place to look for Apple ][ software.
AGATE is available there.
I started AGATE. Unfortunately it doesn't work on an Apple II PLUS.I also tested DCOM, which requires an 80 character card and an upper and lower case keyboard.Unfortunately I don't know which program will work with a bare Apple II Plus.
If I'm not mistaken, the "ANSI terminal" codes from standard X3.64 assume at the minimum an 80 column display.
Retro BBS/Telnet sites such as RetroCampus support a variety of modes:

Well, there's no ANSI terminal that would support a bare 40 column II+.
The best Terminal program for the II+ is ASCII Express, and it will work in 40 column mode, but most BBS systems assume you're running 80 columns, and there's still no ANSI suport in ASCII Express. And with the 80 column screen turned on there's no colour support either. And on a II+ you won't get MouseText.
Mind you, if Apple II BBS systems are your end goal then ASCII Express with an 80 column card, a Super Serial Card and a Wifi enabled modem like the Wimodem-232 is plenty good for most Apple II BBS visits.
I am currently working on adding a telnet client with ANSI support to the ESP32 SoftCard: https://www.applefritter.com/comment/110292#comment-110292
