Have you tried self test?

Have you tried self test?  ctrl-reset while holding open and closed apple keys down?

Is the keyboard connected?  They will display a random lores image like this if it is not.

If not a keyboard issue it may be a RAM issue.  Looks like it is stuck in lores mode.

You'd better show a picture

You'd better show a picture of your computer with the lid open to see the motherboard. I can't remember of something generating 6 beeps every time you power on your computer unless it is a peripheral card (with its own ROM).  Better show what's inside of your computer.

Usually the best way to start

Usually the best way to start is to remove all cards and if there's a joystick connected, unplug it.

Then you know if it's the computer itself or something else

Ralf may have it -- the

Ralf may have it -- the keyboard cable is in cock-eyed.  Seat that in properly and it may start working.

Slot 5 shows severe corrosion.

Slot 5 shows severe corrosion.  I'm betting the issue will involve a bit of surgery...

I would guess that there was a clock card in slot 5 that had a battery that leaked.  Possibly some other card with a capacitor that leaked.  While the slot would need to be cleaned if it were to be used I doubt that the immediate problem that is the subject of this thread is caused by that.  Simply making sure the slot doesn't have any pins shorted should be sufficient to get the machine running.  My guess is still that Ralf's spotting of the keyboard cable not being plugged in is the most likely cause of it getting stuck in the self test which is what this appears like.  It is also possible though that the keyboard cable is defective or even that there is corrosion on the motherboard keyboard connector.  But hopefully not and just plugging it in will get it working.

Check connections?

I don't know if you happen to have a multi-meter handy but it might be worth checking the connection from the keyboard connector on the motherboard to the keyboard for connectivity issues.

My IIc did this till i found a corroded connection, after cleaning it worked fine. but pinpointing where the break in the connection was helped

I concur with Slider's

I concur with Slider's suggestion.  A //e definitely will do what this one is if the keyboard is disconnected or if the cable is bad or a connection corroded.

Judging by the photo...

Looking at the photo up close, I stand by my evaluation that a little surgery would be in order.

That corrosion is riding on the pins of the address and data bus.   Anything can happen in that situation.

Did you pull out the keyboard cable? Probably there is something broken inside the connector or there is something in that should not be there. The same with the slot connector of slot 5. Probably there is something corroded and because of this it's broken.

A brass metal brush would do

A brass metal brush would do nicely to remove the green crud off the top of the connector. The next thing that should be done is to find out if the green stuff came from a alkaline battery. Do this by picking off the bigger green crud off of the top of the slot. You then dunk it into citric acid and water and pour it in there and leave it for 10 minutes. If the citric acid completely destroys the green crud then pour the rest of the acid into the connector. Wait for another 10 minutes. The next thing to do is to get one of those really thin reward discount cards from any supermarket or drug store chain. You then get the thinnest piece of cloth and jam it into the slot with an up and down motion. This procedure cleans the pointy part that makes contact with the cards. You then use a plastic brush with long bristles to remove the rest of the green crud as much as possible. What I would do beyond this point would be terrifying so I can't go any further.
