When I still keep enhancing my IIGS with TWGS, I wonder why there is not a system benchmark software for Apple II family, and do you wanna get one ?
The benchmark can be:
CPU: with different booster and mods
RAM: different RAM card
FLOPPY: different controller and driver
HARD DISK: different SCSI controller, driver, adapter
It can do the work for real things or EMU.
Back in the day there wasn't enough variation in hardware. Most all Apple II units ran at the same speed. Certainly not like the PC and thousands of clones.
Take a look at the Stress ProDOS Filesystem (SPF) tool.
There is a CPU benchmark for the IIgs (complete with TML Pascal source code):

As well there is BenchmarkeD, a hard disk drive/solid state drive benchmark utlity from Brutal Deluxe:

Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Mike
