Does anybody know how to play .vb files? All I know is that it's audio, but so far I can't find any program to play it (Mac or Windows).

.vb files would be Visual Basic files. Virus anyone?
That doesn't make sense. It's supposed to be audio. :?
The closest file type I can think of are .VOB files, which are the raw files contained on a video DVD. They're both video and audio. There are plenty of Mac and Windows apps out there that can extract the AC3 or PCM audio track(s) contained within those files.
If they are indeed VOB files, in the interim you can always open them with DVD Player or QuickTime.
If they really show up as .vb files, don't try them on a PC. Bad things happen when you run spurious VB code from a downloaded file. Thank goodness most virii and spam and spyware vendors focus mostly on Windows. My iBook can stay nice and clean and not run every spyware snippet they throw out like what happens during a typical day of surfing on a PC.
I know what he's talking about, these files arent any form of virus or spyware. He probably found out about them like I did. I was trying to get the music and radio stations from GTA: Vice City on PS2 onto my computer so I could listen to them while playing other games (like Freelancer yay!) without having to have my PS2 on.
The files for these things end in .vb. But since its for a diffrent platform (PS2) I seriously doubt you'll have any success in converting it to mp3 or anything.
If I find out anything I'll let you know. Oh and did you find out about 'em that way too?

FWIK the PS2 uses the origianl PS processor to do audio when it isn't emulating an original. Even so, the audio files are likely just in some exotic or a modified regular format. I've not looked into it but I'm sure many of the gamer sites out there have people who have already solved this problem. Google to the rescue I'm sure, but I sold off my PS2 a long time ago, so I don't have anything to test files out with...
