When I bought a ton of Apple II stuff from a great fellow over Christmas, I was also given a stack of "Popular Computing" magazines that contain, and I say this with no fear of exaggeration, the MOST hilarious clothing in the history of humanity.
I mean, I'm sure, at the time, these were considered the LATEST in haute couture fashion, but wow, this stuff is wonderfully awful now!!
Oh man, am I glad I wasn't an adult in 1982 - I was 12, so whatever disasters I was wearing at the time are my parents' fault, not mine. Grown up people, with jobs and driver's licenses and everything, apparently CHOSE to wear these things! What a free-spirited, and visually impaired, time to be alive it must have been!
Pictures please.
Yes pics so we can see a'zactly what it looks like!
I need access to a scanner, but I'll see what I can do...this stuff is awesome.
It's like my dad used these magazines to fill his closet, because he didn't never bought a computer until the late 90's!
In 1982 I was 29 and had yet to see my first Apple II.
I probably wore some of those "Snazzy" clothes when off duty
aboard ship. lol

Haters gonna hate.
Nobody's hating here - just some good-natured ribbing. Not everything is something, brother!
It is a modern joke. Sorry that I went too new.
It was much worse in the 70's... What you see in 1982 may just be a carry-over from that horrible brown decade.
Unfortunately, I cannot access a scanner right now to reproduce some of this stuff, but you are right - there is a LOT of wide-collar, 3-level brown going on.
And the eye-glasses. Whoa!
