Disk II Cable Orientation

Hi, got my first Apple II + recently and a nice Disk II with interface card. Before I connect it, I wanted to make sure I have the cable in the right way. I believe the red line on my gray ribbon cable denotes pin 1? So plugging this into the card, the line is towards the front of the II+ where the keyboard is? Am I right to say pin 1 is the outer most pin of the top "disk 1" connector?

I tried to search for some pics on Google but didn't find any with the terms I used.

All my experience with the 8-bit Apple to this point has been with the IIc and IIc plus. Thanks.

First be sure that no one before misaligned the cable inside of the drive:

then check the interface card..... that pinplug should also be indicating pin 1 by marking !

Wow, a lot of information you have there. I found the pictures and section showing me where pin 1 is located and it was as I suspected. I'll also open the drive and make sure the red line is on pin 1 on the analog board.

Thanks again speedyG!
