Hi
Apple iie expanded. Has a loose/ wonky spacebar in that use it a few times, press off
Centre and it slips one end up, one down and jams.
Can't see anything wrong with the mechanicals of it
Is it just the female switch x is worn and I can swap from somewhere else... Or have I fitted it wrongly/ is there anything missing/ other suggestions please? ( except press within 2mm of the centre, duh:) )

Missing the steel wire. (some might call it a steel bar, or key stabilizer)
Goes in tiny holes in the 2 small stand-offs that plug into the space bar key and ride along the bottom in those two small black blocks each side of the center spring.
I don't have a photo, sorry.
Yeah, those two black pieces are in 90 degrees wrong, and you are missing the metal bar. You might be able to find one from another keyboard of similar size...
