I'm still looking for an apple //c system (green small monitor, stand and computer with cables and disks, boxes would be nice to but not necessary). If anyone has anything for sale with pictures other than current ebay offers please let me know as well as asking prices.

cnnx,
I don't have anything right now and I
can understand your reluctance to buy
any off of eBay right now.
There actually was one unit (a IIc Plus)
for sale for BIN $149.00 today.
Its a bit marked up, but workable.
DrKenB still has all of his units for sale,
but from what I am seeing, no one wants to
touch them for what he's asking.
Less than five years ago toy could get them
for about $15.00 to $20.00 each.
LOL Try doing that now.
Steven
The Apple IIC is my preferred Apple Computer. One system worth trying to track down would be the first version/rom because it can boot the 2nd drive natively. All later revisions this cant be done/done easily, and only with prodos if you can at all. It makes a bad disk drive just a little bit easier to cope with (if it ever happens).
I know everybody is poor these days, but I wouldn't feel bad buying one from Dr. Ken... Matter of fact, I sent him a IIc, a Laser 128, and some 'this and thats' because his website is SUCH A VALUABLE RESOURCE.
Many a disk image I have fetched off his site.
I plan on buying a IIc+ from him when I get some cash to blow. PLUS, when I get it? I'll know it will be working... unlike ebay.
Nice Guy.
Norris,
Yup. I admit I have also bought items from Ken.
He is a nice guy.
You are also right that when he tells you its operable,
it is. Period
lol Steven
what is the difference between buying a //c from drken and one from ebay? ebay also has a working guarantee don't they? if the seller claims it works
Dr Ken is a good guy and sells good computers, but for the price and the state of his items, I would rather get a cheaper system elsewhere. Some have been "cleaned" by bleaching or painting, leaving parts really yellowed like keyboard and drive doors. A few months ago somebody was trying to sell one he bought from him, he pointed to "recoup his investment".

Well there's the problem. Investment. An Apple IIc hasn't been an investment since the 1980s when they were new. The only Apple II that probably could have "investment" value is an integer Apple II.
David,
I have been shouting this from my Orange Crate for a long time.
(I could not afford a Pulpit, lol)
Anything above $35.00 to $45.00 for a IIc is just too damned much.
I would rather buy one for that price range and do the work myself.
I remember when $10.00 to $15.00 was a good price range for these units.
There are just too many IIc's on the street for them to be that valuable.
Now if you want to talk about IIc Plus units, that's a bit different.
