I just got a Macintosh Plus but I have no idea what disk/OS it needs to boot...I have no idea what I'm doing lol. Is System Tools 6.0.8 a boot disk?

I am such a noob its laughable, sorry! Thanks for the help!
Those disks should work fine.
The Disk Tools floppy is bootable, and has formatting software for installing the system (using those other floppies) for a complete hard drive install.
Ok awesome, I'll order them then! I just wanted to make sure first. Thanks for your help, sorry for the stupid question (and if I posted this in the wrong section)!
When you get past booting and need to load some additional software - give the BMOW FloppyEmu a look. Alternatively, and also just for fun, you could use a G3\G4 era Mac with a zip drive to create and interesting boot drive with 100MB or more of storage!
HOLY CRAP thank you for the BMOW FloppyEmu recommendation! Do you know what additional stuff (cables or connector, etc.) I'd need to order there to make it work with my Mac Plus?
Man. I can't believe that they are asking $25.00 for a set of disks!
The minimum you would need for the BMOW would be "Floppy Emu – with Standard Adapter Extension Cable, $96" and an SD card. However, if you would ever run across an Apple II someday, you should order the "Floppy Emu – with Universal Adapter Extension Cable, $109" and an SD card. You can download disk images from the Macintosh Garden http://macintoshgarden.org/. The other cool thing about the Floppy EMU is that it will word in HD20 mode and emulate a hard disk on the mac so you can install a bunch of software.
I would be willing to send you a boot disk for you mac plus just for the cost of shipping it to you. PM me with your address and we can discuss.
THanks,
Jay
Thanks, I wasn't quite sure what I'd need, just ordered the EMU! Unfortunately I had already ordered the $25 disks a couple days ago - darn! Thanks though! That Macintosh Garden site is certainly going to come in handy as well; it never turned up in Google searches for disk images. I've been a member here for a few years and I'm always surprised by how friendly and helpful everyone is!
Darn it. I wish I would have caught you before you ordered!
