Is there a diagnostics tool which can test the Serial Interface Card on an Apple IIe (the one between the Comms Card and the SSC)? Or any other way to confirm if the card and the Roms are properly functioning?
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I start with a simply RS-232 LoopBack Plug and a Terminal Program, ( I like ASCII Express ).
Then test with ADTPro, and Transfer a Disk to the Apple...

The Serial Interface Card does not work with ADTpro, there is an older version called ADTcc which is supposed to work with the first Apple Comms Card and the AE Serial Interface, but I had no luck with the SIC.

Everyone that does RS-232 should have a tester and a LoopBack Plug...
I wasn't aware of that piece of ADT history.. I have had a Apple SSC since 1987, when I bought one from a friend, brand new.. I still have it too, bundled up with my original Apple Mouse Card, and RAMWORKS III card.
Yes, and I need to look into shipping costs to Germany... And Australia and Singapore..
( Also need to locate the stash of my SSC.. I am still moving from one house to another, and Everything is Everywhere... )
