Today I upgraded the ][ with the retro innovations kit. Following ESD procedure. When I turned it on all I get is garbage and no drive activity.
I put the old chips back in and get the same thing. Nice way to start the weekend. Any ideas before it goes back in storage for another 20 years?

My mistake, i was looking at the wrong invoice.
I received the kit from ultimateapple2.com
After much troubleshooting I found that the CD / EF or combination of both are bad
the processor and video chip are good. I will have to contact the company.
The apple ii is back up and running , however in ][ not //

Most people are going to ask you if you're sure the notches on the chips are pointed at the correct side and if there are any bent pins on the chips or if you are sure that the chips are lined up correctly with the sockets.
