Does anyone know where I can buy a new unboxed apple //c? I saw a guy buy one in 2008 from ebay for about 2800$. It was my first computer and would like to relive the experience.

You just missed one brand new unopened for a week, a //c plus with monitor for mere $1200. Will have to scour fleaBay for the next one, they are not coming out very often.
Cheers

Man that sucks, where was it listed/posted? this website? ebay? How do I find out when they come out? And was the //c plus made by apple or was it a clone? I just had a //c not the plus model.
//c+ was by apple and is the last rendition of the //c and probably the best one to have as well, as it has a 3.5" floppy disc instead of the 5.25 floppy disc. Is there a reason you need a new one compared to a good used version?
Here it is:

Is hard to find an unboxed one. You are better off with a used one, clean. There are some that are pristine. Selles take advantage of the fact that is unboxed to charge en arm a and a leg.
Good luck

I guess I just want a new one because I want to get the same feeling I had when I opened it in 1984-1985.
Perhaps you can live vicariously through one Dan Budiac, who paid some $2600 in 2008 for that privilege:

I have a brand new Apple IIc still sealed in the box, and 3 IIc Plus machines NIB with sealed b/w monitors and stands.
I'm open to considering serious offers.
Where did you get it from? when? and can I see some pictures of the boxes? you can PM if you wish
The Apple IIc came from an estate - the original owner had been give the machine as a gift, but never opened it. It came with a B/W Apple monitor and stand (both also sealed) and a OkiData 20 color printer and some other accessories.
The IIc Pluses came from a seller on eBay who used to work at a bank - the bank would give them away to people who opened up certain kinds of investment accounts. After the bank discontinued the promotion, they had a few machines left over that were stored for several years. My seller was allowed to take them to get rid of them before she retired -- and then I happened to snag them.
I'm at work, so I'll have to take pics later.
The Apple IIc is sealed up. I won't open it up. The box (gloss white style) is in the same condition as you would expect it to be in, picking it up from the Apple dealer. The Apple IIc itself is probably a revision 3 or 4 memory expansion machine - I'm guessing because the only way to truly know is to PRINT PEEK(64447) or crack it open. Since it lacks the '3.5 compatible' stickers, pretty safe to deduce it's one of the later revisions and not a rev 255 based on manufacturing date.
I'd be interested in the sealed //c with stand and monitor, if you can send me pictures of that, then I'll make an offer. I'm located in montreal, canada, where is the apple //c located?
Wow, that's a treat...
Haven't heard from you this week, how about those pictures of the sealed apple //c computer for sale? (estate)
It's been a busy week.

I'm green with envy...
nice picture, I trust the stand and moniitor boxes are in the same condition? also, where are the boxes located? what state in the usa? or another country?
The B/W Apple A2M6016 monitor and stand are in sealed boxes, similar condition.
I'm in the Kansas City region, USA.
