Like many others here building apple 1 replicas, I'm chasing the TI 14-pin sockets (closed frame). I think the part number is C9314-02 but the same part number seems to have been used for the later open frame version.
I've looked at lots of online surplus places, and I think they all have the open frame version.
I need 12 of these, but would like to find 24 if possible. Willing to buy more!
If anyone either has some that they could sell me, or knows where I may get some then I would be eternally grateful!

Actually everyone is looking for these. If you find some I'm interested also (in case you have a minimum order size).
It used to be you could get the 14 pin if you wanted to pay and not the 16 pin. Then someone found NOS stock of the 16 pin, and now the 14 are the ones you can't find, other than NOS on the 8 pin.
Btw: you'll need 14, don't forget your ACI.
Also there were a lot of variations on these sockets that had the same part number but looked different. I have a bunch of the notched 14 pin sockets. Wrong for the Apple-1, but correct for some on my MITS cards but not all.
I actually know someone who was willing to scrap a $250 card just to get the sockets for his Mimeo, luckily he found some at I think 3 or 4 dollars each.
It may scare you but If I recall correctly I had to pay a few hundred dollars for my last complete set of sockets. Then again I'm nuts, I even have a white ceramic 6502 in my Briel Replica-1.

Based upon a conversation with another "Fritter". That supply is in a state of suspended animation for lack of a better term.

About a year or two ago, I bought a couple small parts drawer from an old chap that was into radio. Paid too much for the amount of parts I've actually used from it.
Are these the chaps? I have exactly six.
Also, there are some 16-pin TI closed.
