I was surfing ebay today, like I always do, when I spotted the motherload for
the vintage mac collector. It was none other than the Lisa 1, complete with
twiggy floppies, profile hard drive, and original software installed. Here's
the link!

Enjoy!!
looks cool and all, but who in their right mind is gonna fork over 5k for a machine they are never going to use? You open the box, start it up and play with it a few days then you shut it down and it sits on the desk un-used for a few years until it breaks or you sell it/trash it, and you wonder what you were thinking when you paid for it.
Interesting auction. I notice that that Lisa had French menus in the screen shot. I wonder if the winner will have a hard time getting Lisa software in other languages.
5-6 years ago I coulda had a Mac XL for $5, but I had no idea what it was at the time. I've been kicking myself for it at various points in time since. This is another one of those times. :o
not long back i saw an Apple II prototype on eBay which went over $6000, and had up to 25bids, but the reserve wasn't even met, and therefore it wasn't sold.
but its true, who is going to be stupid enough to pay so much for a computer that they are never going to use.
Yeah, and they said computers depreciated. ::)
