Hi guys,
I was surprised that I couldn't find any guide for this, but I figured it out pretty easily on my own. I had a language card I'd scavenged for the last of the 4116's I needed a few years back, but still had plenty of 4164's around.
It's simple cutting two lines and making one wire jumper to convert the board - works great. To change over the one 4116 that comes from the motherboard would take two more cuts and jumpers, so I left that one alone. I can document it if anyone else ever needs the info and can't figure it out.
It would be nice to use the wasted 48k extra RAM, but I'm sure that would require a lot of extra logic.
Languard - Language. That must trigger some kind of typing muscle memory for me. Just like I can't type words that start with "win" without typing "windows".
It´s not to difficult at all to use the extra RAM.... just look in my thread "Hardware Developement and special Topics" and scroll down to the post #7 related to the 192kb RAMupgrade of the apple II and follow the link....

there are 3 descriptions including the sample code of bankselection..... the best of the descriptions is rhe c´t modification.....

I figured maybe there was an easy way to hook into $C084-C087 and $C08C-C08F to use one more bank with a small amount of extra circuitry. There was talk about modifying it to be an "80K" language card during the Lisa development
If they hadn't wasted the address space to bank the extra 4k in the first place, it could easily have been a 48k card, anyway.
