I need about 50 of the 16 pin version of these sockets... (note they have what appears to be a mylar plastic sheet insert on the back.
If you can find me a good source or have some that won't charge me the cost of my son's college then the $100 bucks is yours. Even if you have less than 50 then tell let's work something out... Also if you have an 8 pin version which looks the same (including the deep indent) I'll pay $25 bucks for one (I need only one).
This is for my second Mimeo board I'm going to start early next year where I am going for accuracy and this appears as close as I can get to the socket if not the exact socket used from what I have seen in pictures. I already have a supply of 14, 24 and 40 pin.
I should also add I don't know the actual TI part number as I keep getting conflicting ones so any help would in finding that out would also be appreciated.
Save your money. One word Hamfest.
Odds are I will have a better shot with a bounty and a world wide search. Hamfest is a local thing.
Cheers,
Corey
Hi,
You did not mention the width. Would any of these on this page work? Some are as low as $0.10 .

That ain't them... I ordered a few in the past for another project. I'm actually looking for this exact socket but in 16 pin. It's actually not a great socket but for authenticity I'm stuck
Here is a picture of the 24 pin version I have. After some emails and messages, I think the Apple I used 16 pin sockets more like this one and doesn't have the "notch" but I'm not 100% sure. I'd need to see a picture of what ever anyone finds for the 16 or 24 pin versions and compare it to the LCF Group #1 Apple I that was never populated with chips (on Mike Willegal's Apple I registry)
The closer to the real Apple I sockets the better and why I'm offering a bounty of $2 per socket. If you have about 20 of the 14 pin sockets that match the attached picture I may be interested also. I should also mention I'm looking for working sockets.
For those of you who think I'm nuts (which may be true but not about this), I don't think these will be easy to find 50 of
Got Em!!!!!
Thanks to an AppleFritter member I got just enough to build my Mimeo!!!!
Thanks Jeff
