Anyone know where I can buy a DB-19 male connector in the UK?
I've tried a few of the bigger suppliers but no luck.
I need this to make a cable to connect a duodisk to my IIe.

The DB19 aren't made any more.
The idea is to get an Unidisk and dismantle it to grab the DB19 plug and cable. Then you have to solder a DB25 at the end of the cable using Apple specifications, and you're good to go.

The DB19 connector is at the drive card end so is it not just a matter of swapping that for a DB25?

Hello,
No, the cable is connected to the drive through a double row connector.
You have to keep the DB19, which normally plugs into the controller card, cut the double row connector at the other side of the cable and solder a DB25 in place.
Here is a picture of the cable after the dismantle of the drive.

I did not realize that the cable was hard wired into the unidisk.
But back to my previous post, is it not possible to replace the DB19 at the card end with a DB25 and just use a 25-25 straight through cable?

Somebody is selling DB-19 connectors in the Apple II community. I know because I bought some not too long ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I got them. I think it might have been Ultimate Apple II, but their store is closed (temporarily?).
Anyway, there is a source of connectors out there. Maybe somebody will chime in with the info.
As for replacing the 19 with a 25 and using a straight-through cable - I can't see why that wouldn't work just fine. I think you could probably also remove pins from a DB-25 connector to make an adaptor. The pin arrangement is otherwise the same isn't it? The extra six pin space would hang over the edge of the DB-19 and might look a bit ugly, but it would allow you to keep the original connector intact. (Assuming that you, of course, make the wiring changes somewhere along the way.)

I think I will rig up an adapter to prove to concept then swap out the 19 for a 25 to make a permanent solution.

They have the DB 19 connectors here. Not real cheap you would need the DB19H and DB19MS or maybe just the DB19M no picture of it. The DB19 is about a quarter of the cost of the other 2. Just go to the URL and type DB19 in the search.

It might be worth giving Cricklewood Electronics (http://www2.cricklewoodelectronics.com/Cricklewood/home.php) an email or a call. Nothing shows up on their website for a quick search for 'DB19' but not everything is on there, and they are the sort of place who would have such connectors. (They're the only place I've ever found Domino DIN connectors, for instance.)
here in Munich in my local hardware store the DB19 Connectors are still availiable in stock as female as well as male....
the price is something about 1,95 Euro per connector... just remember that because a few weeks ago I got a duodrive from ebay without cable and I had to make one by myself new.
