Only $10,000

That's reasonable; they only cost $10,000 when new in 1983. Blum 3

And if you were to recalculate that $12,000 into 1983 dollars, then it's still below its 1983 retail price.

Funny thing about collecting computers--one of the first major hurdles which very few will ever achieve in the collector's lifetime is the collector's value of the computer ever surpassing their original retail price.

Sold?

"This listing has ended"--that's all it says.

I guess someone bought it, but it doesn't say whether or not--another one of those great eBay changes they've been coming up with lately. Don't you just love those? My all-time favorite has been not letting sellers leave negative feedback anymore. I don't know if they're ever going to top that one.

Interesting, the seller revised his listing 14 times. He was very busy with it. Maybe it didn't sell. Maybe he finally gave up revising, saw this thread, and pulled it to sell another day at a higher price.

GO FOR $20K! RAH!RAH!

All revisions done on the same day...

Looks like all the revisions were done on the same day that it went up and then it was pulled.
Nope. Could not find a winner for it, so the seller must have pulled it. Wonder what happened? Hmmm.

Yeah, I missed that. I see that now. It must have sold. They used to have a message "This item was purchased through buy-it-now" or something like that written across the top so I was thrown off. Obviously, they don't do that anymore.
