Hello all;
Woogie here. Normally I'm over on the Apple II thread
but I just thought I would let you all know that there
is a fairly new and very good site that covers Apple II
clones, Euro clones, and other oddities. The web address
is...
http//www.apple2clones.com
There is a fellow from the old Franklin Computer Corp.
that posts regularly and is happy to talk about his
time in the industry, development of equipment and other
cool stuff. Kind of like talking to the "Woz" of clones!
Check out the site. It's a great companion-site to this
one! Lotsa good info and maybe even a few hacking ideas!

We know that there was a posting in Apple II forum about it.
I know many might not read the A1 or A2 fora often. I usually only make a point to check them once every couple weeks or when I happen to notice a quasi-recent post...
"Ernest" who has created the Apple II clone site has contributed a lot on Apple history, both on his site and in the comp.sys.apple2 newsgroups. A lot of the clones are pretty mundane -- straight copies from the schematics in the Red Book -- while others like the Basis (CP/M support built-in) and the Franklin (clean room clone) are very impressive. Ernest has documented the lot, even loads of boring stuff, and it's an impressive site. So surely we can live with a duplicate recommendation in the middle of summer (Northern hemisphere) when there's nothing new being produced...
Just my opinion,
Phil
