TV (modern plasma) works fine then flickers off after 2 min of using with an Apple ][

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

Apple ][ 1978 (rev 1) NTSC original non-plus
Powered and boots fine
Color screens on Choplifter and Defender come up fine
Basic prompt and simple Basic routines execute fine

Monitor is a 42'' model PAL/NTSC plasma
Using composite AV port

After 2 min of use the display flickers and then goes into a "a mess" By mess I mean the pciture moves horiz and vertically and is all garbled up.
The underlying non-video part of the machine is still functional an this point. In the game you can still hear the sounds of the game and the keyboard responds to input.

When you hit RESET or switch on/off this problem goes away (but then comes back after 2 min)
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Played around with the video

Played around with the video potentiometer setting and it's working fine now. Yipee!
