Well i just come home from a week with my grandfather who is dying of cancer and come home to find my front door and back doors wide open, the windows bashed outta my bronco and my other cars keyed. So i walked in the house and come to find im missing loads of stuff, sum1 stole my ps2 and alot of computer stuff and my tv and for some odd reason they stole a box of condoms for what use i will never know. I called the local police department. and the cops here are lazy and they took a report and siad well theres not much we can do, have a great day. Time to invent forcefields and install some huge ass security system, Like a gillatene so when someone opens the door it falls on there head and chops them up. I mean clare is a small town bout 1000 people or less. I mean in the past month 4 banks have been robbed, 3 grocery stores and 2 gas stations. and quite a few houses. No one knows whats going on, and they somehow cant catch these guys. Well time to clean up the ransacked house

Damn, that really sucks bad! I feel bad for you. Its such an invasion of privacy when someone enters your home and takes your stuff.
Im gonna wire 220 up to all the brass entry door handles, and then install a remote switch to turn it on when i leave and turn it off when i come home, f---ers wont enter my house again. they'll get cooked

You need an active monitoring station or automated system to call 911 with a recorded message. Some companies offer wireless communication in case the line gets cut, and all have some king of battery that can last for about a week with no power in a secure, armed state. You also need something that will crank noise. a 110dB siren (or a couple dozen of them) will get the neighbor's attention. Just be sure to mount them inside (to scare the crap out of the intruder) and out (to wake any nosey neighbors).
Avoid booby-traps.

Maybe we could set up a Darkness Paypal charity fund since you dont seem to be having a great time at the moment...
If you were to do that and succeed, you'll probably very quickly be sued. And quite probably arrested. (depending on where you live.)

(Just as examples. Prosecutions for this sort of thing happen fairly often.)
Using deadly force to protect *yourself* from intruders is acceptable under the law. But rigging automatic killing devices to protect property is another matter.
I certainly sympathise with you being pissed off, don't get me wrong.

I just parked the cop car in the driveway, last night, backed it in so it looked like the cops were running speed traps. No one came near the place last night
The law is really odd. People should be responsible for there own actions. If they decide to break in and trespass, so be it...but I think its tough luck if they kill themselves in the process.
Weird.
I find lawsuits like the one where the family of the burgler who got killed on one of those homemade booby traps to be utterly ludicrous (sp?).
Its like they are rewarding the family for the guys attempted breakin. And then the jurors weren't told that he was high and drunk?
Comeon, give me a break.
well i had a visit from mister officer Ugh today, said that i couldnt have my light bubble on my car, Cuz it would be inpersonating a police officer, even though it is parked. stupid laws
damn.
