I have a Quadra950 that has been upgraded to a PowerMac. Having been in hibernation in a cupboard for the last 4 years, I have booted it up to find that there is no response from any ADB device.
I have a few keyboards and mouses that work fine on other macs- an Apple Adjustable and ADB Mouse II have no response. None of the LEDs light up when I turn the key to boot it, and the caps lock light does not come on if I press caps lock.
Is this a symptom of having a flat PRAM battery, or am I looking at the death knell of the Q950?
It's possible that its just cold solder joints on the ADB port- but I don't have the room or the time to find out.

Quadra 950- no ADB response
IIRC, there is a position for the key which allows the machine to boot up but disables all input. This is to make it secure in an environment where it might act as a server but others have access to it. So, if you haven't already tried it, put that key in a different position.
trag, you are absolutely right. I had turned the key all the way to the lock position.
How embarrassing!
Just goes to show, it's always worth waiting for a response in a forum before parting with a suspect mac.
