Let me know where you got your keyboard... The one that obviously doesn't have any punctuation or captial letters. It would probably be worth some money.
I'm just assuming that the it's the keyboards fault, because there is no way that you would type that intentionally and expect people to know what you were talking about, right?
That's a good one Reverend, but don't forget the *other* rare keyboard that has no lowercase letters (just uppercase), howevever, some contain punctuation.
but seriously....
if you want to drive the lcd you'll probably need to use the serial port. there's an application that lets you use applescript to read and write bits to the serial port. i think it's called serial port osax or something. google. then you should probably read up on lcd serial interfacing and work out whether you can just use the exisiting lcd or replace it with a new one. i might have some spare in a week or so that would suit.
caps are for pussies.
First: Did you understand that post? If so, what language was it in?
Second: LCD? Where did you get LCD in all of that?
Third: So I'm a pussy, huh? Simply because I decided a while back to better myself and continue the attempt to use proper English even when dealing in digital realms does not mean that I'm a pussy. If you really think that, then I only have three little words for you:
Bring it on!
But seriously, did you really understand all that?
the screen on this big cd player i only want to make it light the holething up so i just need to get power to the screen. and i just need to know where to put the fan
That post hurt my mind. It's like listening to Bush talk about... well, anything.
And I don't think Google has added support to translate this man's postings.

Well, lets not be too hard on the guy; let me try to decode his post for ya. He wants to put a performa into a cd player (probably a home stereo cd player that has bit the dust, or some such). He wants to use the display for... uh... something, and needs to power it.
your on the right track it did bite the dust and i just want the display to light up not say anything just to lite up so it would show like 8s and stuff do you get it yet and i just need to know how to get power to the display
You'll need to find the backlight and find out the voltage. Chances are no one here is going to be able to tell you so you'll need to probe with a multimeter or hack and pray with voltages at different inputs
thanks ill try that and then ill put my creation on this site so u guys can see it bye
