I know these are Apple II forums but I have and Apple Macintosh LC III running System 7 but I think the motherboard battery is dead because I tested it and didn't respond at all. So where can I get an LC III motherboard battery?

It's a standard-issue 3.6V "half-AA" battery. You can get them at Radio Shack (they're labelled as a "Macintosh battery"), Interstate Battery, or at your nearest Apple Store or Apple reseller (ask for part number 922-4760).

A temporary fix to use to test the computer is to turn it on, wait a few seconds, then off and back on fairly quickly. This may allow the LCIII to boot. I wouldn't do it too often as rapidly switching a power supply off and on can be bad, but it'd be best to test the thing before you drop $16.99 (holy crap! the price went up) at RatShack, or less elsewhere.
EDIT: Searching Google Products shows them for sale as low as $4.25, but I dunno how reputable the dealer is. Only go to RS as a last resort, their price for these batteries is more than many of the machines they go in are worth.
i think you can buy one online for like $6.88 shipped from http://resale.headgap.com/ , that is where i buy mine from and never had any issues with them.
I also took the hard drive cover off and the disk looks a little dirty... So how do I clean that?
i hope you didn't take the hard drive apart, did you mean the computer case
I took the cover off to see if it was dirty. Then I saw a small cd thing
So how do I clean that, right when I took it off it was dirty, but I didn't touch it or do anything to it. I put the cover to the hard drive back on right after I looked at it for like 10 seconds.
Taking the cover off the hard drive itself is a very bad idea. They are not air tight (by design) but they are sealed with a filter to keep out any dust particles. There is never a good reason to open a good hard drive if you want it to keep working. If things were done quickly and it stays clean, then good, but I wouldn't put much trust in a HDD that's been opened.
