Powerbook 180c issues

My friend has a Powerbook 180c that he procured a few years ago at a garage sale in Oklahoma City. It didn't have a hard drive, but luckily I had a compatible drive from a recently deceased PB520. Being an older machine, it has seriously physically taken a beating. By the looks of things, some moron tried to take it apart with the wrong tools. At first glance the machine looks fine, no obvious scratches or cracks. But almost all of the places where a screw would go in the bottom- are broken, the plastic in between the screw head and the internal mount that is. So the machine is almost to rickety to keep a constant power flow (which I addressed by duct taping the machine together). A couple of the tabs that hold the screen plastics together also seem to be busted, and the plastics are really far apart around the hinges.

It is a really classy machine that looks great, has a lot of old apps on it and a spacious hard drive considering. My first mac was a Powerbook 180, so I hate to see this one sit on the shelf due to it's condition.

So, does anyone know of someway to get the machine more sturdy and supported?

Thanks!

Oh yes, by the way...

I plan to trade my friend out of it or something so I will have free reign with any repairs or attempts therein.

Thanks again!

Interesting

Frankly, I would love to buy your PB. My zip code is 74574. Can you tell me how much you think shipping will be?

Thanks!
