Recently I found a clamshell at a yardsale (yesterday) and it was essentially the original specs so I had some old memory and a blank HD so I did some Updating. I want to know should I install OS 10.2 or 10.3 my ISP supports back to 10.1 so I'm good there but as for speed which is the best. I added a 512 MB Chip+ 64 MB= 576 MB total and a 30 GB HD. So which is the best to run on it ?

you found a clamshell at a yard sale? i need to start going to more yard sales! eh i'd say 10.3. while i don't think xpostfacto is needed on the clamshell ibooks, it and 10.3 ran amazingly on my wallstreet, and i'd reccomend that. considering 366mhz and 512mb of ram versus my 250mhz and 196 ram, it'll be really nice. that's if you're going to do classic and x on the drive.
I was amazed too considering where I live there isn't that many computers at yardsales and thanks
10.3 over 10.2 on any Mac that can handle it, simple as that. 10.2 really drags its feet.
No reason to run 10.2 on any Mac that supports 10.3.

I got a clamshell off Freecycle. And a Lombard.
Every Clamshell I've owned has run Panther quite comfortably, given enough HD and RAM.
Comfortably may be a stretch. I guess it depends on how patient you are. I have mine running 10.3 and thats about all I could see putting on it. 10.2 is far too slow, old, and full of bugs. Tiger is too much of a memory hog and I took it off my Clamshell after 3 days and went back to Panther.
