As of late, the power button on my Newton has gotten quite unreliable. I took the back off of it to take a looksy at the actual switch and I couldn't really see anything that I could do about it.
Does anyone know what type of switch the Newton 2100 uses? Is it a simple thing as those usually used for the power buttons on your generic PC? It sucks having to eject my wireless card to turn it on and then just wait 5 minutes in order to turn it off.
As it turns out, I was able to replace it with a simple switch. The power/backlight button now resides in that empty slot next to the Interconnect port.
