Well looking at old ads in My pictures one question popped to my mind. Why did Apple give us Color and take it away ? Was it just a sales gimick or what. THE Simple question is Why !!!?

G3 iMacs vs. Intel iMacs? Apple IIgs screens compared to Macintosh screens? Perhaps their rainbow logo contrasted against the newer monocoloured logo?
I meant as in color cases not screens or the logo.

Of course not. There's ample scientific documentation of the fact that molding blue dots or flowers into a computer case increases performance at *least* 20%
*snirk* Of course it was a gimmick. People like gimmicks. People pay big money for things they don't need if they're sufficiently gimmicky. And gimmicks require much less R&D then actual innovation.
Now brushed aluminum and black *everything* is their gimmick. I can't complain. I miss the 1970's as much as anybody.
