Anyone have system 7.1 installers?

I'm trying to install Stuffit Expander 4.5 on my Macintosh Classic II. It says I need system 7.1 or higher to install the software. I tried to install system 7.5 on the machine, but the hard drive didn't have much room. If anyone has system 7.1 installer or updater's from system 7.0.1 to 7.1, tell me. Thank you.

7.1 is not free

sorry. Unlike 7.5.3, 7.0.1, and 6.0.8, for some reason, apple has not and can not distribute 7.1 for free. I think is has something to do with one of the components, but other than those few copyright components, it could be free.

sorry.

Although...

I did find the installers once on the internet. I think it was some university thing, but I'll never tell. I didn't use them. My Classic II's have 7.01 and was thinking of upgrading, but I read somewhere that it was better not to upgrade to 7.1. Don't remember the reason why.

Thanks for info.

I might try to upgrade to system 7.5, the reason I am trying is because when I was installing, the installer said that I didn't have enough disk space.

Have you considered just chan

Have you considered just changing the harddrive? Sounds like the one you've got is pretty small, and if so, is probably pretty old and slow too. I'm sure you could pick up another 50pin SCSI drive for cheap, like a 1 or 4 GB. There's even some that do 7200 rpm.
