That's negligence. It doesn't require an overt act.

I hope you mean the disk drive. I, for one, am tired of God killing kittens.
HAA! I missed that one!
--reminds me of the time drbob made me cry!
yes... i meant the drive. tut tut. haha. i love that picture!!
I was given an iMac from my local School District because they couldn't get it to work. Had a USB plug coming out of the side and there was a small lock on the RAM door. Cut the lock off and noticed a ELO Technologies sticker on the bottom. Plugged the USB cable in and fired her up. Turns out that ELO Tech. makes touch screen displays. This thing runs in OS 8.6 and was used as a Kiosk for one of the area schools in their main lobby. Still have their "Welcome to" show on the drive plus a really cool "Match the color iMac" game.

when the PAV goes out on that sucker, it would actually be worth it to find a new one. I could care less about the ones that die and have nothing much in them. but the touch screen ones are rare. I know they also had a touchscreen G4 iMac at one time. Same with the older AIO Series (Like the performa series and PowerMac AIO's (pre-G3))
EDIT: I actually recall someone made an iBook Clamshell that had a cutout on the top of the screen, and LCD was turned around and shown through the top of the Clamshell, and it was touch screened. more like a tablet Mac. That would also be worth keeping up. I also recall like a PowerBook 5x0 system being turned into a special tablet mac with System 7 on it. I would have loved to play with it
I recently bought an eMate off eBay. It turns out that it was used in a school and Newton Works was full of documents from kids learning to type, an one drawing entitled "A Stret Party from World War II"
My Quadra 800 I had was used by a large firm, BCAA. The hard drive was labeled Thelonious and had these aplications:

I believe they were working on a SQL backend for the company to use for all internal operations. I should propably hand this disc I made to them. They sure would be suprised!
Heh, my daughter's currently-600MHz frankenMac is one of these ELO Tech.-equipped jobbies. I thought the touch-screen would be useful and cool, but sadly there aren't any OS X drivers for the darn thing - well, not free ones anyhow.
I'm not quite sure this sort of 'find' quite fits the thread title, but it's still trés cool just the same. :coolmac:
