For sale or trade: Original iBook

I have the original blueberry iBook for sale or trade. It does have a problem with the the screen, as it displays a mosaic of colors. It does boot, and it works great except for the screen issue. Makes a great project piece. The only piece that I am hesitant to part with is the 3gb hard drive. I may include it , depending on what the offer is. I am looking for mainly a trade for an older power mac (eg. 6100, 7500, etc.) or an Apple Studio Display. I am open to offers/trade prospects.

I might have something for you!

Hello!

I have a 6100/66 with a G3 upgrade that I would be willing to part with for this ibook. AC adapter and battery included?

My 6100 has a Sonnet G3 Card 266MHz with a full 1MB L2 backside cache, 72 MB RAM, 33MHz system bus (as opposed to the 30MHz bus a 6100/60 would have), 1.2 Gigabyte Apple/Quantum SCSI HD, Tray loading original Apple CD-ROM drive, OS 8.6 installed, PRAM battery good, HDI45-DB15 monitor adapter, ethernet transceiver, AC cord and adb keyboard and mouse included.

Let me know if you are interested. PM or post here.

PM 6100

First of all, yes, the battery is included, but no, the power adaptor cannot be included. I want to keep the adaptor to use as a backup for my new iBook's adaptor. I hope this is okay with you. The 6100 has nubus as opposed to pci, right?

yes

Yes it is nubus. the absent ac adapter is no big deal, but the absent hd might be. Any idea whether you might include it?

The iBook boots, but it only

The iBook boots, but it only displays a colorful mosaic on the screen. I don't know if it is a problem with th e screen or the video chip. BTW: this is not at all limited to PM 6100's and 7500's. I will consider almost any desktop system, studio display, iPod (yeah, I wish), PDA, iSight, accessories, or anything else you can come up with. It is still available, but going fast!

I'll see you and raise a 7500 w/g3

Okay, i'm confused... is the desktop visible at all?

Anyway, I'll offer a 7500 upgraded with a PowerLogic G3 350/175, 128mb of RAM. I have to check the drive size. (ISTR that it has a 4gb Seagate and the original 1gb Quantum, though i'd probably want to swap in a diffent drive for the 4gb one.

One thing I'd ask, though, is that you leave the original 3gb drive in. I really don't want to have to do the teardown to put in another one unneccessarily. If having a spare IDE laptop drive is your issue, I could probably come up with a 4gb non-Apple Toshiba to even things out.

bit late to the game

Hello there,
possible things I have, you may be intersted or not; Have a 233 Rev A imac, keyboard, Macally mouse, Mac plus with 4 meg upgrade, Powerbook 1400cs (although it's in storage, I've got it there), with x12 Cd-rom, and floppy, battery is good. I've got a lot of loose nick nacks floating around, and a PC (no need to waste anymore space with that one, I'll tell details if you wish). I know it's not a lot, but I'm still throwing my bit in if it catches your eye!
