I need $80 million to buy a castle... please donate...

Bran Castle, purported to be the one-time residence of Prince Vlad Tepes III, or Vlad the Impaler, inspriration for Count Dracula, is for sale... that's right, folks... Castle Dracula is on the market

The story is here

So... what I'm suggesting is that we all pitch in our money and buy it. I, of course, will maintain permanent residence and will manage all restoration, retrofitting, and grounds keeping of the castle. Any and all investors will have full access to the grounds.

As the castle currently makes about $1 million a year just in tour ticket sales, we can expand upon this by hosting special occasions, weddings, a Halloween Ball, and even setting up some special effects to give it that "haunted" feel.

So... who's in? Wink

To be absolutely honest, I would actually take every last penny I have saved for the opportunity to purchase this castle. I'm still short by about $79,980,000, though... I mean, just the idea of calling myself "Count Darkness" gives me goosebumps...

(sigh)

... a guy can dream, right?

Sorry, my money's saved for Neuschwanstein Castle.

Not only do you get an incredible castle with the best view money can buy, you get the coolest grotto ever.

Well, that is one nice grotto... and a damn nice castle... but I'm talking about Castle Dracula, man! Oh, who am I kidding...

Wow... quite obscure... especially to those of us South of the border...

Jeez man, all I want is $600

Jeez man, all I want is $600 to buy an iPhone. I'll even officially volunteer as a guinea pig to see how it works on T-Mobile (which I'm not switching away from).

I'm In!

I'll be talkin' with my banker this week. So this'll be kinda like a haunted timeshare, with lots of marketing potential, right?

Here's a place we can score a cool million. You ought to be able to pull something off to score that, don't you think? Wink

That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about... and with 57 rooms, we could double-book shares, maybe even triple-book, letting you choose which groups of people you want to share with... Damn... now the dream is alive again...

I'm a little skeptical of this skeptic. His rules for obtaining the prize are extrememly exact and controlled, and the protocol for the testing environment is entirely up to the whim of the researcher. I will contact him, though...

Who knows? Maybe if I tell him what it's for, he'll become an investor... just to prove that Dracula didn't exist. Wink

He's a tough customer, but the best part is that if you beat him & get the million, your Dracula's Castle just gained instant credibility and huge notoriety, not to mention free advertising.
