now i have a 840av thats doing some weird things. the 1st time i ever tried it chimed and came on. after that, now you hit the power switch and it turns on with power, fan runs, but no chime/no video. i have tried taking the mobo out of the case cleaning it off, replacing the pram battery with a know good one. still same result as leadacid had. mines got full vram and 64mb ram onboard. i really want to get her up and running. any other ideas????? should i tried taking all memory and vram out and reseating it all? or should i just try powering it on and leaving it, and seeing if it ever kicks on??? thanks ahead of time for help guys

Sometimes with stuff like this I find it's best to strip the machine bare and slowly add components until you find the broken item. I'd unplug the disk drives and hard drive, as well as removing all the RAM (assuming that there is some onboard). Basically make it a motherboard and a power supply (video card is onboard, right?) and see if it comes on to the flashing "?". If that doesn't work you could try unplugging the motherboard and leaving it without any power attached for a few days. Hope this helps.
