Just learned how to play that very uplifting song (ahem). My vote? The Church, "Under The Milky Way Tonight"...
Of course, I'm also an astronomer...
Peace,

If we're going classic rock, then I'd say the original (pre tard ozzie special effects) Black Sabbath N.I.B. It set the standard for devil metal for years to come, and certainly had a huge impact on the Ozzman's reputation. The fact that it rocks the world helps too.
More recently, I'd say either Gave Up or Wish of off the Broken LP by NIN. Trent Reznor at his absolute hardest and most rocking. (none of this NINDISCO crap)
Punk, maybe When the Evening comes by the undead (Bobby Steele, the original guitarist for the Misfits),
but more classic would be a toss up between Blitzkreig Bop by the Ramones (RIP GUYS!!!) or Where Eagles Dare by the Misfits
That english crap is ok, but too derivative and slow...I prefer mine homegrown.
With a quick look at my iTunes "Most Played" list, I see mostly Rogue Wave, The Beatles, Metric, The Faint, Muse, Ladytron, The Cure, and Fischerspooner. I could never, EVER just come up with a flat-out 'best song ever', but I can come up with some current favs from that group of artists:
The Cure - One Hundred Years
Rogue Wave - Kicking the Heart Out
The Beatles - Blue Jay Way
Metric - Too Little Too Late
The Faint - The Conductor (Thin White Duke)
Muse - Bliss
Fischerspooner - Get Confused
Ladytron - International Dateline
Edit: I can't believe I forgot Björk! Everything about Björk is fantastic; there is not one song of hers that I don't like.
the who, queen, and Kiss. Bohemian Rhapsody's one of the best songs of Queen, IMO.
Faith No More (they did put out more than that "fish" song). Ummmm...and Refused too. Songs from them...FNM - toss up: Surprise! You're Dead and Midlife Crisis. Refused - New Noise.

The KLF - 3 A.M. Eternal and alomst anything else off of The White Room
Davis Allen Coe - Take This Job and Shove It, Ride 'Em Cowboy, If That Ain't Country, Willie Waylon and Me
Moby - Porcelain
Mono - Life in Mono
Arg! I just can't pick!
Pink floyd Darkside of the Moon, wish you were here, The Wall. Doors LA Woman. Enigma, Enya and way to many more.
The Crow soundtrack:
Machines of Loving Grace - Golgotha Tenement Blues
Natural Born Killers Soundtrack:
Cowboy Junkies - Sweet Jane
Bob Dylan - You Belong to Me
Leonard Cohen - Waiting for the Miracle
Nearly any album that Trent Reznor has his fingers into is really good...
My faves are by Creed...

I like queen and the dark side of the moon I lesson to time at least 3 times a day and whis you were here 6 times a day when I am in a bad mood
about 3 on a good day
BTW:one or the users of this site had wish you were here as there pic woh is that it is cool
Eric Clapton--Layla
The Grateful Dead--Playing in the Band
The Pixies--Wave of Mutilation
Those are probably three all-time closest to my heart, but I've been singing Bohemian Rhapsody a lot lately ever since they did that Queen fest on American Idol. And, of course, there's the old standard--Amazing Grace.
Best rock band of all time--who else?--Rolling Stones--before they became the Strolling Bones.
The old man was covered with tattoos and scars.
He got some in prison and others in bars.
The rest he got workin' on old junk cars in the daytime.

I've seen the Grand Ole Opry and I've met Johnny Cash.
If that ain't country I'll kiss your ass.
Might be the best darn country song ever.
And Margo Timmins was always my secret crush.

Let's see,
Europe - The Final Countdown (great song, even better video)
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax (hard to explain why)
The Postal Service - Such Great Heights (good tune, good video, much fun)
Frank Sinatra - Fly Me to the Moon (classic)
Fatboy Slim - Rockafeller Skank (it's just so much fun)
Van Halen - Right Now (only for when I am giving a powerpoint presentation)
Bell Biv Devoe - Poison (a late 80's, early 90's classic)
That is all.
