Our office is about to scrap a bunch of older imacs (233mhz or so).

No hard drives.

Does anyone need anything off of them?

Well its not worth it to ship

Well its not worth it to ship the whole imacs. MOst of these appear to be old slot loaders, not sure of the revisions. I'm guessing they are rev a and b models.

They probalby have problems. They won't have hard drives and I'm not sure about memory. I would be willing to take them apart and give people stuff like the motherboard and maybe other boards as well.

I'm not going to ship CRT tubes or whole imacs, too expesnive and not worth it these days.

Apparently, there looks like to be about 3 or 4 at the momment. Who konws if there wwill be more or not. We think so but we aren't entirely sure.

Also we are in the spokane, WA area.

If they are slotloaders, I'd

If they are slotloaders, I'd be interested in a functional PAV board! And if they have mobos that are 400Mhz or faster, I'd be interesting in those too.

If there are RAM DIMMs of 128MB or bigger, I'd be interested too.

But, mostly I'm on the lookout for a functioning PAV to fix my dead slotload iMac DV 400.

And maybe if the opticals are anything better than the stock CD-ROM (ie. CD-RW or DVD-ROM or SuperDrive) I'd be interested.

No, these are all tray loader

No, these are all tray loaders, not slot loaders. We know enough to not junk slot loaders, they are still new enough to be recycled back into service for the immediate future or used as parts for other still in service slot loaders.

As far as I can tell, these are all 233mhz class.

Here's what I am going to end up with

It looks like I am going to end up with about 4 or 5 motherboard cages, cdrom drives, and maybe the bottom sticks of memory under the memory/cpu board.

I'm not going to bother with anything above the motherboard becuase it looks like you have to take the whole computer apart to get at anything inside there and I don't know the condition of the crt/analog board/etc.

BTW when I say, "motherboard

BTW when I say, "motherboard cages", I mean the entire cage assy with the motherboard/memory in the lower slot/that other sodimm thingy/and whatever else comes with the assy that slides out of the imac when you remove the bottom shell.

What about the case?

I just want to make an iMacQuarium. So you can keep the guts and crt and just send the plastic. But I can undertand if that is too much of a hassle. It would be a fun project tho.
