Huh?!?! It's maybe an hour, less if you live north of Wilmington, slightly more if you live just south. Easy fast drive on a weekend morning, just go straight up I95 (from Google-maps):
1. I-95 N toward Chester/Philadelphia - go 63 mi
. (on past Philly, into NJ)
2. Take the RT-31 exit 4 to Ewing/Pennington - go 0.1 mi
3. Bear right onto the RT-31 S ramp to Ewing - go 0.1 mi
4. Continue on Pennington Rd - go 1.2 mi
It's well worth the trip believe me.

As a kid, my dad and I used to go every year. (Grew up in staten island,ny then southeastern PA) I still have fond memories of going. Lived in Florida from 97-04, so that didn't work out. Since I've moved to PA (western PA, sigh), I haven't been able to make it. Maybe in 07 I'll make it. Time to start planning for it! It truly is the best computer show EVER!
For some reason when you said Trenton, I automatically registered Newark. An hour drive huh, looks like I will be there.

This is the second year back at its original site, the former Trenton State College. I'm curious to hear what this years is like. Last year seemed "odd" to me... much smaller than it had been at the Raritan Center, even much smaller than it had been at Mercer County College before that... also, the flea market seemed to be split between very new items and very old ones with almost no middle ground (in PC terms, it meant that you could find lots of early Pentium I and II hardware, decent amounts of P-IV, but almost no Pentium III hardware); it was as though the only people who swere selling were some die-hard vendors or locals doing closet cleaning.
I remember seeing some, but not a lot of Mac hardware. I had hoped to find a cheap B&W like some did two years ago or maybe even a Kanga or Wallstreet, but I don't remember seeing any B&Ws with a decent price and the only 'Books I recall were a fixer-upper Lombard and a way overpriced 1400.
Unfortunately, though, I'm going to miss this year's TCF (coming back from a long-overdue vacation that weekend).

I'll still be there of course, but now I'm rethinking how much stuff I'm gonna take on Saturday. Sunday looks to be better thank goodness.
I was planning to bring a load of stuff to sell, perhaps including some 15" CRT displays and maybe a couple Gossamers and/or B+Ws and/or Lombards and/or iBooks and/or Pismos and/or more misc crap. All depends on how ambitious I can get over the next 24 hours.
And how bad the weather forecast looks tomorrow night.

Seems like today is a day for rain. It really did rain alot, but there were some patches where it went for maybe an hour with only a mere sprinkling.
I still sold a couple of things, but I also bought some stuff. The coolest item is visible to the left of my car in the above photo - a Daystar Genesis MP with the 4x CPU card still inside. Haven't started it up yet, gotta let it dry.
I also picked up a pair of MDD PSes, a cherry WSII 266, plus some TiBook and iBook parts, a pair of PBs - 180 and 180C, and more misc bits and pieces. A buddy snapped up a dual G4 CPU and a working very clean Tangerine iBook, $20 apiece.
Not bad all-in-all. I'll be back tomorrow, and it looks like the rain will be mostly over by then.

Color me green with envy; that Daystar is a choice find. How much did it set you back? Gotta think that the rain makes it a buyer's market.

Sunday not so rainy, but still very few outdoor vendors. I did manage to pick up some bits and pieces, photo shows the 333MHz G3 tower I bought ($10), plus a pair of soggy eMates ($15), as well as a few of the 30 or so 9GB 1/2 height 50 pin SCSI drives I "acquired" from the dumpster ($0.00).
Dumpster diving is of course an honorable tradition at this show.
I had hoped to resell the G3 tower, but noone seemed interested, even at my marked $25 asking price. Oh well, just have to keep it I guess.
I must have had 20 people take photos of my Apple-grilled car. Maybe I'll leave it on and wait for it to fall off on its own rather than remove it right away.
Daystar Genesis MP cost ~$20. Dangity-dang, it's awful big. Bigger even than a Q950, making it the biggest Mac I own.
